STEVEN LOVEJOY
Sonoma County District Court Records Indexing Project
For last two years SCGS volunteers have been abstracting the Sonoma County District Court Records to create the first comprehensive index of these important genealogical records. This presentation will discuss the how and why of the project, give a little California Court history, and show how to use the new index to access District Court Records that can further your genealogical research. We’ll look at actual District Court cases ranging from breach of contract to divorce to even murder. Original District Court Record Books from the Sonoma County Archives will be available for show and tell!
