Board of Director and Committee
The Sonoma County Genealogical Society is managed by a team of dedicated volunteers. The Board of Directors are elected every year, and most often each position has only one candidate. Additional responsibilities are handled by a core group of Committee members. The Directors and Committee leaders are listed on the ABOUT page, but there are many others who are "behind the scenes."
The Board meets once a month, except for August and December. Any SCGS member is welcome to attend the Board meeting. If you would like to attend the virtual meeting, please send an email to the Board President at email@example.com
About seven years ago, Job Descriptions were created to describe the duties and responsibilities of most of the positions within the Society. These were last revised in 2018, so many of the duties have changed since the pandemic and the move to virtual meetings.
