New SCGS Mexican Genealogy Special Interest Group

The Sonoma County Genealogical Society is forming a new Special Interest Group (SIG) devoted to Mexican genealogy. It will be led by Laura Gonzalez, a local teacher and genealogy enthusiast. She has many years’ experience researching Mexican (and American) ancestors and has taught beginning genealogy workshops at Santa Rosa Junior College through the Community Education program. Contact Laura if you would like to be a part of this new SIG.

We have put together some great publications about the history, people and records of Sonoma County.
